Steeped in History

Like much of our Commonwealth’s great treasures, Guildford Farm is steeped in history. Built in the 1790’s, Guildford Farm was the original home of the Early family, the namesake of Earlysville, VA. In 2003, the nearly 8,000 square foot country home was completely restored. The home contains 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and a stunning 13 original wood burning fireplaces. During the restoration, the original architecture of the home was meticulously preserved. When inside, every glance reveals another treat; exquisite woodwork, hand-carved mantels and wide heart pine floors. The home is located in the middle of a 150-acre picturesque estate overlooking a 2-acre pond to the East and the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains to the West. The stars have never shined so bright as seen from this front porch, and one will almost never leave the property without seeing some of nature’s finest local wildlife.

If a picture’s worth a thousand words, then a private tour of Guildford Farm is worth a million. Fill out the form here and our wedding concierge will be in touch to answer any questions you have about the property and to schedule a visit for you to see it firsthand.
